So recently, Iraq has been plagued by anti gay murders in the past 2 months. The murders started to occur in February, when an unidentified Islamic anti-gay group put up posters with death threats with the names, age and address of those who were gay, or believed to be gay. The murders have been carried out by smashing an individuals head with a concrete block, or by throwing them off the roof of a tall building. The thing that gets me though is that Iraqi authorities have not responded nor denounced these attacks. This is just absolutely horrific, and the UN should definitely get involved. Just because you may not believe in homosexuality doesn't mean that you should kill all them. I hope this situation turns around.
