We're looking for some more writers
to expand our team with.
Ever wanted to write news articles or blog posts that can change
people's views? News items that receive little attention from major news
services
have a home here. Why don't you join us? You don't need to
have any previous blogging skills, we'll send you a pack explaining
everything, so it's open to everyone. Our blog is global, so location is
not an issue.
Here are our only terms and conditions:
Here are our only terms and conditions:
- Good spelling and grammar.
- You have to be able to make yourself clearly understood.
- Respect other peoples' opinions, but don't be afraid to touch on controversial topics.
- You need to be able to post once a week, on a day of your choice.
There's nothing to stop you from working steadily on your article
through the week and posting it when it's due. If there's something in
the news that inspires you (and there's a load of LGBT news out there),
write about it! It's easy enough to stick to a once-a-week schedule. You
can of course, write more often than once a week, there's nothing
stopping you, just let us know in your application.
- Your weekly posts have to come to approximately 700 - 1,000 words each. For an idea of length, see posts on the blog.
- If you're thinking of leaving the blog 2 months down the line, this is probably not for you. We're looking for people who are interested in keeping
this up and who want to be part of a team, writing about QUILTBAG
issues. You need to have the motivation to produce at least one post a
week.
Before you start, please prepare the following. We don't want to waste your time.
- An example of your writing under the form of a 700 - 1,000 word article about the LGBTQIA topic of your choice.
- A short 30 - 45 word bio.
- Links to any previous blogging experiences, if any.
